Thanks to defensive coordinator Matt Eberflus and his brilliant scheme, Dallas finished with the worst defense in the NFL, giving up the most points, Russell Wilson put up 450 passing yards on their heads.
Matt Eberflus was coming off a Chicago Bears tenure where his rookie QB said his coaches weren’t watching film with him. That’s the type of detail-oriented coach you should hire to run a newly Micah Parsons-less defense.
A few weeks ago, Dallas moved Matt Eberflus from the sidelines to the box to call plays. The defense gave up 30+ points twice after the move.
Matt Eberflus will love living in the local university hotel he’s forced to move into, his NFL career “on pause” for the foreseeable future.

1. Brian Flores
Flores’s contract expires this offseason. Can’t imagine he’s staying in Minnesota to watch JJ McCarthy get overstimulated by loud noises. If Brian Flores ever wants to be a head coach (his lawsuit leads me to believe he does), then a high-profile, daily ESPN spotlighted job, where none of his contributions will fall beneath the radar, is the final rung back to the top of head coaching searches.
2. Jonanthan Gannon
Recently fired by the Arizona Cardinals, Jonathan Gannon was the DC of an Eagles team that made the Super Bowl two seasons ago. Nothing a front office loves more than bringing in a guy from a division rival. Plus, one of Arizona’s 3 wins came against the Dallas Cowboys, Gannon’s defense holding the Cowboys to 17 points on Monday Night Football.
3. Shane Bowen
Look, Shane Bowen will be cheap, he knows the NFC East and he sucks. This is the perfect defensive coordinator for the Dallas Cowboys.
