There’s so much going on in the life of Fox Sports analyst, Chris Broussard. A trade for James Harden to the Los Angeles Clippers finally ended weeks of pointless debates. But Broussard is also dealing with the loss of his developmentally disabled cousin. Who he had to put dow—I MEAN he died a month or two ago.
He was therefore right to ask James Harden if he was retarded on national television.

I do not watch First Things First.
I have no interest in Nick Wright’s new annoying little brother schtick. No part of me has the imagination to pretend as if Kevin Wildes is comic relief. And I’m old enough to remember when Broussard presented himself as an NBA ‘insider’1. Like, if Shams just suddenly became a talking head, I wouldn’t be rushing to hear his takes.
But from context clues, it appears Nick Wright and Chris Broussard are arguing about James Harden’s mentality about joining a Clippers team with ball-dominant players already on the roster.
Broussard is attempting to defend Harden by saying he must understand he can’t occupy entire possessions anymore with Kawhi, Paul George and Russell Westbrook on the roster.
Although Harden has led the NBA in usage percentage twice, he should recognize he’s physically slowing down and he needs to play more off the ball if he wishes to extend his career.
In fact, James Harden would be retarded to not understand this, according to Broussard.
Now, you and I know you 1000% cannot say that word anymore in 2023. There is an entire group of people who have expressed how that word makes them feel less than. Choosing to ignore and disrespect them doesn’t make you some free speech warrior. It makes you an asshole.
But Chris Broussard can say the word because he had a special needs cousin who died two months ago or a month ago or whenever. Flawless logic.
Like, if Broussard called Jeanie Buss a slut and Nick Wright told him he can’t say the word, Chris would be able to explain it’s okay for him to say slut because his dead cousin was a slut.
You can freely say any insulting thing you want as long as someone in your family can also be described by the same insulting word. It helps if they were put down or passed away recently or a long time ago.
According to reports, James Harden is making his Clippers debut on Monday against the New York Knicks, so we’ll find out firsthand if Harden can fit in with his new All-Star squad.
Or if he’s Chris Broussard’s cousin.
