After once again losing to Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs, Bills fans are on edge. Josh Allen just had the best season of his life and the team around him wasn’t good enough to make it to the Super Bowl.
Bills fans want to feel like they actually have a chance to win a championship, so you feel their anxiety going into the draft, praying Bills GM, Brandon Beane, takes a game-changing player.
But Buffalo typically selects at the bottom of the draft when all the top prospects are gone.
With the No. 30 pick of the 2025 NFL Draft, the Buffalo Bills selected cornerback Maxwell Hairston from Kentucky. Ok.

Decent pick. Not the Jessica Rabbit of picks but Hairston fills a need.
But local Buffalo media weren’t impressed by Beane’s work. Since Stefon Diggs got weird and shipped to Houston, the Bills haven’t given Josh Allen a true No. 1 receiver.
Fans wanted to see a top WR come off the board instead of a random corner but Brandon Beane went on a radio show to defend his pick and puff his chest out a bit.
Appearing on local Buffalo station WGR550’s “The Jeremy and Joe Show,” Beane was asked about the busyness of his draft weekend to start his interview. He responded by saying that he was listening to the discussion before he came on the radio show and that it “sounds like 2018 all over with you guys.”
“Well, you guys were bitching in 2018 about Josh Allen, you guys wanted Josh Rosen, and now you guys are bitching that we don’t have a receiver,” Beane said when asked what he meant. “… We just scored 30 points in a row for eight straight games. A year ago, I get you guys asking why we didn’t have receivers, but I don’t understand it now. You just saw us lead the league in points, when you add all the postseason, no one scored more points than the Buffalo Bills, including the Super Bowl champions. So, you just saw us do it without Stefon Diggs, same group. How is this group not better than last year’s group? Our job is to score points and win games. Where do we need to get better? Defense. We did that. So, I get it, you got to have a show, and you got to have something to bitch about, but bitching about wide receiver is one of the dumbest arguments I’ve heard.” (ESPN)
Brandon Beane isn’t playing with y’all anymore. The Bills scored the most points last season and he’s tired of the “bitching”. This team hasn’t had a receiver with 1,000 receiving yards since Diggs left. Nothing happened in this draft to make anyone think that’ll change this season.
But the secret to winning the Super Bowl is a rookie cornerback so everyone stop being a bitch.
