Early in the 2024-25 NBA season, New York Knicks defensive stopper, OG Anunoby, ran into Anne Hathaway—an Academy Award winner and star of the 2009 hit film “Bride Wars”—who was sitting courtside at Madison Square Garden.

Anne Hathaway thanked OG after the game, calling it a “bucket list moment” for her.

We all want players motivated by team success and some made-up, ghost of Kobe Bryant’s successfully-marketed Mamba Mentality propaganda. They play hard for the love of the game or to entertain us unathletics.

But these guys are humans who often play basketball for money and to get YesJulz in their DMs.

With the Knicks down 2-1 heading into Game 4 against the Indiana Pacers—the most pivotal game of the series—New York needs Anne Hathaway now more than ever.

How important is OG Anunoby?

OG was the third leading scorer for the Knicks this season, averaging 18 points a game—the highest scoring average of his career.

When OG is hitting his 3’s, running the floor in transition and confidently, decisively driving to the basket, he makes the Knicks unstoppable. No defense is capable of handcuffing Jalen Brunson, Karl-Anthony Towns, Mikal Bridges AND OG Anunoby.

Anunoby has scored 20+ in 6 games this postseason. The Knicks are 6-0 in those games.

So far against Indiana, OG has scored 16 points in all 3 games.

The Knicks look evenly matched with the Pacers despite having the more talented team. When OG plays like a random role player, the Knicks have to scratch and claw for every point. But when he’s looking to score, teams don’t know what to do.

Anne Hathaway can save the Knicks. Get on the private jet and go fight Tyrese Haliburton’s dad. Plz.
