The Yankees started their 2025 campaign jumping pitchers and breaking home run records.

They were an All-Star team beating the saliva out of a league not properly prepared for their little torpedo bats.

On May 28th, the Yankees had a 7-game lead over the Toronto Blue Jays.

The AL East belonged to them and everyone else was just there to feed them wins.

Turns out,  it was a pyramid scheme with the Yankees at the top.

They were selling Herbalife.

It’s July 6th and the Yankees are tied for 2nd place with the Tampa Bay Devil Rays after a 12-6 loss to the New York Mets on Saturday afternoon to continue their 6-game losing streak.

The Yankees have lost 18 of their last 27 games with TWO 6-game losing streaks within the last 22 days.

The New York Yankees are dogshit.

Here’s what Yankees skipper, Aaron Boone, said following another disgusting loss:

Every post-game quote from Aaron Boone, as well as the players, is this cult-like optimism as their clubhouse burns to the ground.

Every. Single. Year. Boone’s Yankees go through long stretches where they appear to be learning how to play baseball in real time.

The Savanah Bananas are having a better summer than the Yankees.

Saturday’s 12-6 loss to the Mets was an encapsulation of the Yankees awful play.

The game started with the Yankees dribbling 3 consecuctive miserable little infield ground outs, immediately followed by Sterling Marte hitting a ball to left field where not-every-good-at-left fielder, Jasson Dominiguez, let the ball drop next to him.

Carlos Rodon loaded the bases for a Brandon Nimmo grand slam.

Sick.

But something happened later in this game that should require a mandatory team meeting.

Here’s Anthony Volpe, after the inning ended, rocketing a ball into Aaron Judge’s face as he was minding his own business, just trying to jog to the dugout.

Anthony Volpe, the once-prized shortstop prospect who ranks 7th in wRC+ out of 8 qualified AL shortstops—almost blinded the greatest Yankees hitter since Mickey Mantle—because he was playing around in the middle of a game the team desperately needed to win to avoid their second 6-game losing streak of the season.

And there’s still no sense of urgency.

No one seems to care.

Aaron Boone has the dream job.

He gets to be the head coach of the most prestigious organization in sports with ultimate job security because the general manager is his friend and the owner is a completely hands-off nepo baby who inherited a financial cash cow.

Win, loss or draw, the Steinbrenner family will always fill the stadium and end their day swan diving into a pool of money they got from the day’s chicken fingers sales.

In winter, Boone signed a contract extension through 2027.

The Yankees are never going to fire Boone and have to pay him $12 million to not work there.

He’s a made man.

He works for one of the final sports organizations not owned and operated by VCs and algorithms.

He works for a guy he knows personally who can’t afford to fire him.

So the Yankees can make little league base running mistakes and suck on defense and leave runners in scoring position without any adult in the room screaming at them.

No one in the Yankees organization holds anyone else accountable.

Every season, top prospects come up to the big leagues and look terrified while Aaron Boone just claps and says, “We’ll get ’em next time“.

The Dodgers are creating Hall of Famers out of mosquitos frozen in amber, like Andy Pages this season, but every young Yankee forgets how to play the sport when they get around Boone. (Shout out to Gary Sanchez, Greg Bird, Chance Adams, Deivi Garcia and Miguel Andujar).

I don’t want the Yankees to fire Aaron Boone.

At this point, I just want to see how long they organization will allow him to coast through seasons, stilling millions of dollars and young men’s careers from them as he tell reporters “we just gotta keep on keepin on” or whatever the fuck he says.

This team missed the playoffs two years ago and Boone’s job wasn’t on the line. They made the World Series the following year almost exclusively off the strength of acuiring Juan Soto and then let Juan Soto moves to Queens because he wanted like, red gatorades and the Yankees only do blue and suddenly, the Yankees suck again.

Aaron Boone is my favorite coach in history.

Just bad vibes, embarrassing losses to the Red Sox and Astros every year and stern handshakes with anyone with the authority to remove him from his position.

Honestly, would not shock me if Boone has a presidential run in him. His mediocrity is exactly what Americans are looking for.

Aaron Boone should’ve been fired two presidents ago.
