Joe Rogan and Brittany Matthews are at war this week following a segment on Joe Rogan’s podcast where he and a few comedians dunked on the Mahomes family.

“Patrick Mahomes has a wife that’s just wild. She’s up in the box and films herself … and Patrick is obviously the man, and then he’s got a crazy wife and a brother up in the box, doing all that shit.”

Dope.

Joe Rogan ends that clip by saying “keep that same energy when you get divorced” which is where I imagine Brittany Matthews took offense. Here was her response:

Joe Rogan vs. Brittany Matthews: How did we get here?

Rogan is the former host of a game show where people ate buffalo testicles and laid in coffins full of living snakes in order to walk away with a grand total of $50,000—an amount of money you can easily make filling in blanks and eating zero (0) testicles on Wheel of Fortune.

These days, Rogan does color commentary for UFC fights before driving back to his musty basement studio to share his uniquely unintelligible right-wing viewpoints on American culture for an audience of vulnerable people who understand there are fundamental problems with this country but are easily manipulated into thinking it’s the fault of brown people and women with blue hair.

Rogan has so many great hits like spreading Covid misinformation that led to bands taking their music off Spotify—the streaming service that exclusively airs his brain-numbing podcast—or saying homeless people should be shot or when he said he believed black people have different brains than white people which makes white people smarter.

Occasionally, Rogan will bring on some comedians to shoot the shit in between guests who are alt-wing scammers and this week it was Shane Gillis, Mark Normand and Ari Shaffir—3 comedians that the most annoying guy you know always tells you that you have to check out.

A few years ago, Shane Gillis was announced as a new Saturday Night Live cast member but was immediately dropped following the release of several racist and homophobic clips from his podcast. Of course, that grew his fan base as guys who wish they could still call their friends the f-word when they do something lame rushed to hear more of Gillis pretending to ‘push boundaries’ which is a stand-up comedians way of saying “I’m not clever but I am loud”.

Shocking this crew of men would have a problem with Mahomes’s wife and sassy little brother.

Brittany Matthews

Brittany is the high school sweetheart of the greatest quarterback we have ever seen, Patrick Mahomes. I think she’s a personal trainer or at the very least, she’s attempting to be a fitness influencer on Instagram and good for her using her platform to try and get a bag doing something she loves.

She also gets mocked every Sunday because she cannot help herself from blacking out and posting videos of herself screaming at the top of her lungs when the Chiefs win. And the Chiefs win a lot. So there are a lot of Brittany Matthews celebration videos.

There is something super cringy about a family member of a professional athlete beating their chest when they contributed absolutely nothing to the on-field outcome of the game.

I can understand fans being annoyed about this woman pouring champagne on fans from her box seats above them.

Personally, I don’t think there’s anything wrong with a wife supporting their husband’s accomplishments but it gets into weird territory when it feels like someone is building their brand off screeching at the top of your lungs and bragging about the team’s success when you did absolutely nothing to aid in the victory.

Brittany Matthews is the butt of jokes, more so than any other prominent NFL wife, because she looks like a high school sweetheart. That’s the nicest way to say what I mean. Please don’t make me say what I mean. Uh, if Brittany looked like Gisele Bündchen, guys would either ignore her videos completely or they would praise her loyalty or whatever.

I used to make fun of Brittany and Jackson Mahomes but you really have to look yourself in the mirror when Joe Rogan, Shane Gillis and Mark Normand are making the same low-hanging fruit jokes as you.

Both Joe Rogan and Brittany Matthews are bajillionaires. They are both winners of this beef. If anything, this is a lesson. You never want to be as corny as Rogan and his loser guests. This whole thing made me a die-hard Brittany Mahomes fan.

One of these people called a predominantly black neighborhood the ‘planet of the apes’.

One of them just likes when her husband does well at work.
