George Kittle Reveals Who He Thinks Should Be The 49ers Starting Quarterback Next Season

George Kittle might be looked at as the best tight end in the NFL if the San Francisco 49ers found a consistent starting quarterback.

They thought they found someone in Trey Lance but his leg immediately exploded so we have no idea if he can ball or not and Brock Purdy emerged out of nowhere to lead the team to the playoffs.

Now there’s an imminent quarterback battle in the Bay.

George Kittle appeared on Von Miller’s podcast and shared his thoughts on Purdy and who should be the starting QB next season:

“He’s fantastic. Our offense was operating at the highest it’s probably been since 2019. So, in my opinion, it’s Brock’s job to lose. But, there will be competition since Brock will be out ’till training camp with his surgery, so it’s going to be interesting. But, when you find a guy like that [who] can seamlessly jump in, I think it’s his job to lose.”

This shouldn’t be a huge surprise.

Trey Lance has thrown 102 career passes and Brock Purdy was an elbow injury away from the Super Bowl.

It makes sense for the offense to be excited about Purdy coming back instead of the guy who has been seen in a walking boot more often than in cleats.

This is also a team that’s overflowing with talent that had to watch Jimmy Garoppolo struggle to throw the ball further than 9 yards.

The Kyle Shanahan-led 49ers should have like, 3 more Super Bowl appearances but they cannot find a guy to throw footballs which is a problem for a professional football organization.

Both QBs will be coming off major injuries with Purdy needing his elbow glued back into place and Trey Lance’s ankle needing repairs.

We could be seeing one of the worst quarterback battles in NFL history as these two injury-plagued men limp from their handicap parking spots.

Honestly, I’m hoping George Kittle has someone with two legs and two arms capable of throwing him the ball next year.

We cannot continue to allow the NFL media to waterboard us with Philadelphia Eagles propaganda as if they didn’t barely beat a team that played without a QB.
