5 "Superstars" Julius Randle is Having a Better 2022-23 Season Than

Julius Randle is having an even better 2022-23 season than he did two years ago when he earned 2nd team All-NBA honors. He is far more efficient at scoring the ball and with Jalen Brunson playing next to him, he can focus totally on scoring instead of having to be the main scorer as well as distributor and playmaker.

Here are 5 superstars that Julius Randle is better than:

1. Jimmy Butler

We can start with the fact that Jimmy Butler has only played 25 games this season and is in this perpetual day-to-day status with various random leg injuries. He showed up with fake dreads glued to his scalp and hasn’t made an impact bigger than that meme.

I wouldn’t downgrade him to the third option behind Bam Adebayo and Tyler Herro but Bam is clearly the best player on the Heat and those last-second shots that were Butler’s specialty are being taken by Herro these days.

2. Trae Young

Trae Young will always be the tiniest player whenever he’s on the floor which means he’ll always be the worst defender out there. His shooting was supposed to supersede his inability to play defense but this season, Trae is only shooting 31% from 3 and just looks different this season.

It says a lot about the type of person Trae is behind closed doors when his head coach came out a couple of weeks ago and said he’s contemplated quitting his job. Nate McMillan is dreading coming to work because this man’s lisping and bricking 3’s.

I know Trae’s lisp has nothing to do with this but it also has everything to do with this, you know what I mean?

3. Chris Paul

CP3 has entered the fully washed phase of his career. There was a point where if you just drop Chris Paul on the court, your team had an advantage (until the 4th quarter or the playoffs when he starts to do weird shit). Now, the Phoenix Suns are a .500 team and it feels like they went to the NBA Finals like, 10 years ago.

Chris Paul is averaging 13 points, 4 rebounds and 8 assists. He’s putting up Mike Conley numbers this season and that’s actually insulting to Mike Conley. Go Buckeyes.

4. Rudy Gobert

I don’t necessarily think Rudy Gobert is a superstar but he’s a 3-time Defensive Player of the Year and 3-time All-Star so he’s not a nobody by any means. Personally, I think he’s the most overrated player in NBA history and honestly, he’s only on this list so I can take a bat to him.

Fast forward to 2023 and this dweeb is liking Elon Musk’s anti-Fauci tweets as if Covid is some fake scheme. The french bitch plays with Karl-Anthony Towns who lost his parents from Covid and Gobert is still dumb enough to mock the severity of the virus.

Fuck Rudy Gobert. Also Julius Randle is better.

5. Kawhi Leonard

This one hurts. At his best, I still think Kawhi is a Top 5 player in the NBA and he’s not 5 through 2. But I’m also writing this the morning after the Clippers went to Denver and Kawhi scored a grand total of 6 points in a 91-122 blowout loss to the best team in the West.

If the point of this article is to point out that Julius Randle’s name deserves to be in the same conversation with certain superstars that he’s outplaying this season then I have to add Kawhi to this list. Kawhi will 1000% make the All-Star team despite averaging 16 points while Julius Randle will have a 30-point triple-double tonight and the NBA world will ignore it entirely or somehow turn it into a chance to mock the Knicks.
