Buffalo Bills quarterback Tyrod Taylor addressed the media Wednesday despite being informed he’d been benched.
Taylor stepped to the podium after head coach Sean McDermott announced that rookie Nathan Peterman will start Sunday versus the Los Angeles Chargers.
“I’m obviously disappointed. I don’t agree with the decision, but the decision was made and I have to move forward,” Taylor said, according to Matthew Fairburn of Syracuse.com.
Uh, what is happening in Buffalo? Was there a coup? Did Nathan Peterman storm the facility and hold everyone hostage until he was given the starting position? Did he storm the Bastille? Something illegal definitely happened, right?
I’m pretty sure this is a prime example of a brand new head coach completely overthinking and overmanaging his team. Every new coach thinks they can be Bill Belichick. The Buffalo Bills are 5-4 and if the playoffs started today, they’d be in the Wild Card. They’re only two games behind the Patriots. The fuck is going on?
Here’s a real quick list of all of the quarterbacks who have thrown more interceptions than Tyrod Taylor this season: DeShone Kizer, Cam Newton, Ben Roethlisberger, Joe Flacco, Trevor Seimian, Josh McCown, Matt Ryan, Andy Dalton, DeShaun Watson, Carson Palmer, Phillip Rivers, Blake Bortles, Derek Carr, Eli Manning, Jay Cutler, Russell Wilson, Marcus Mariota, Jameis Winston, Matt Stafford, Kirk Cousins, Case Keenum, Mike Glennon, Carson Wentz, Kevin Hogan, Jacoby Brissett, CJ Beathard, Drew Brees, Brian Hoyer, Brett Hundley, Dak Prescott and Jared Goff.
But uh yea, go Peterman!
