Last night the Kansas City Royals defeated the Toronto Blue Jays 4-3 to advance to the World Series for the second consecutive season. The Royals are in the midst of a modern day dynasty and the Toronto Blue Jays proved to be the Toronto Blue Jays. A team that loses. A team of losers. A city of losers. Losers.
After the Kansas City Royals were generous enough to allow the Blue Jay to get to game 6, the Royals hit the gas pedal and immediately went up 2-0 after two solo home runs. I could go through the events of this game but I honestly just want to talk about how shitty the Blue Jays are.
Ever since the trade deadline I’ve been hearing about the big bad Toronto Blue Jays. After they acquired Troy Tulowitzki and David Price they pretty much couldn’t lose a game. I saw it first hand when they beat up the New York Yankees to win the AL East.
Here’s the thing about the BJ’s, they are an awful franchise and there is nothing they can do to change that. That’s all they’ve ever been. That’s all they are now. And that’s all they’ll ever be. I mean the Blue Jays managed to compile a team entirely consisting of asshole which is impressive but it’s not the formula to winning championships.
If you follow the king on twitter or you’ve read Deadseriousness before than you know I’ve made it very clear that I’m not a big Josh Donaldson fan. I have a personal vendetta against him and his failures are my successes. Watching him strike out gets my blood flowing. I’m not happy unless Josh Donaldson is upset.
So congratulations to the Kansas City Royals for returning to the World Series. I’m all in on this team. They’re the most exciting team to watch. All of their hitters have the potential to bat like, .500 in a series and they’re fans are light years better than New York Mets fans. I will see you all in Kansas City for the championship parade. Free Deadseriousness t-shirt’s for everyone.
