5. Bernard King
As a New York Knick, Bernard King averaged 26 points per game and absolutely dominated. He could do whatever he wanted to do out there. Every night could have been a Bernard King 50 point game. He was playing at the perfect time when NBA players weren’t athletic yet so you have to take his success with a grain of salt. No one had an actual vertical leap yet.
Unfortunately, Bernard King blew his knees out so his Knicks career was cut short. That’s what happens when you finally compete against athletic guys like Magic Johnson and James Worthy, you blow out your knees.
