The 32-year-old, a four-time All-Star, was arrested in Hawaii at a Maui resort on Oct. 31 following an argument with his wife and pleaded not guilty to a charge of abuse of a family or household member. Sooo Jose Reyes’ Career is Over

Meet Trevor Story, the Colorado Rockies rookie shortstop who hit a 3-run homer in his first career major league at-bat against perennial Cy Young candidate Zach Greinke.

Trevor Story than hit a 2nd home run in his 3rd plate appearance and just absolutely ruined Greinke’s debut in Arizona. The Rockies have a 23-year old potential phenom at short soo Jose Reyes’ career is over.

The only reason why Story is playing is because Jose Reyes was arrested for domestic abuse. That’s not a crime that you just come back from like it’s no big deal. No one supports the guy who beats women. Even other guys who beat women are like ‘damn, I can’t believe that guy hit that woman’.

Reyes may return to Colorado sooner than expected as the domestic abuse charges may be dropped because his wife isn’t cooperating with the investigation. You know, the woman he hit doesn’t want to stand up and testify against the man who hit her probably in fear that she’d be hit again.

But I’m not a lawyer nor do I care about the intricacies of that particular case. What I do know is that since being traded to Colorado, Reyes has been injury prone and ineffective. Well, Trevor Story isn’t.

Jose Reyes’ career is over.
