Kyrie Irving was the first overall draft pick of the 2011 NBA Draft and Isaiah Thomas was drafted 60th overall. They are currently battling in the Eastern Conference Finals and it’s impossible to imagine that 58 other players were selected between them.
The 2011 NBA Draft changed the scope of the NBA and shaped the league into what we see today. Sooo, let’s redraft it.
I’m only redrafting the lottery picks because who cares about who would be drafted 47th overall?
14. Houston Rockets: Mindausgas Kuzminskas
I will not hide the fact that this pick is 1000% based on my New York Knicks biased and I am totally okay with that. Sure, Tobias Harris or Enes Kanter are available but Kuzminskas went undrafted in 2011 and deserves a selection. Perhaps not a loterry pick but this is my redraft, not yours.
Also, if he stuck around on this team long enough for Mike D’Antoni to show up, he’d probably end up being a starter. He’s a big forward who can dunk and hit 3’s. Those are the only two characteristics you need to play alongside James Harden.
