I think it’s a little early to take a look back at the 2009 NBA draft but I just read an article that named Steph Curry one of top 50 players in NBA history so now I have no choice but to address this draft. This is sneaky one of the best draft classes ever and arguably one of the worst as far as teams selecting talent. Wesley Matthews went undrafted while Hasheem Thabeet was selected 2nd overall and if you don’t know who Hasheem Thabeet is then EXACTLY.
This draft class not only had Steph Curry but James Harden and Blake Griffin as well. All potential MVP candidates soooo let’s see how NBA teams would redo the 2009 NBA Draft
Well, just the lottery picks. I’ve got stuff to do. I don’t have time to research an entire 58 selection draft.
So far, Tyreke Evans has had a pretty average and injury ridden NBA career. He was once one of the top players in college basketball but for whatever reason, that didn’t translate into NBA success. I think a lot of his struggles has come from always playing on awful teams under below average coaches. Tyreke Evans has the potential to be a great scorer off of the bench for a playoff team.
