JR Smith Shit All Over Tracy McGrady and His Hall of Fame Speech

McGrady was discussing the difference between winning an NBA title and earning enshrinement in the Hall of Fame.

“Social media can give a lot of people voices these days, and the first thing they say is ‘No rings, no rings,'” McGrady said Friday, per MassLive.com’s Tom Westerholm. “You have to have a great team and some luck to get a ring, right? Unfortunately, I wasn’t blessed with that. But I go back at them with this: Anybody can win a championship. Everybody can’t get in the Hall of Fame.”

(Bleacher Report)

JR Smith vs. Tracy McGrady. Two shooting guards known for taking every green light possible. Both men have careers based around taking as many shots possible. Whether they’re open or not, it’s all about getting those field goal attempts in.

What’s great about this story is that JR Smith would have the same exact quote as Tracy McGrady if he didn’t get traded to the Cleveland Cavaliers. Their careers are identical until LeBron James gave JR the light.

Do you think Adam Morrison is walking around beating his chest about winning a chip? Is he walking around the NBA Hall of Fame shitting on players who never won a title? John Stockton shouldn’t be in the Hall of Fame. Sure, he’s the best point guard ever but did he win? Just give Stockton’s wing to JR.
