The 28-year-old Harvard product instead believes the Nets are playoff bound. “We’re making the playoffs. I don’t care what anybody else tell me,” Lin proclaimed while answering fan-submitted questions over the weekend.
I officially feel better about Jeremy Lin and the New York Knicks parting ways. I’m easily influenced by over confident players in Knicks jersey. If Kristaps Porzingis comes out tomorrow and says that the Knicks are going to be the number one seed then I’d be buying season tickets.
Fortunately, Lin plays for the Brooklyn Nets which means I can make fun of how stupid he is. Yes, the Eastern Conference is for sure weaker than it has been in the past. All of the major stars have headed out West and after the Raptors and Wizards, there is a handful of average teams that will sneak into the playoffs.
The Brooklyn Nets aren’t one of those teams. Jeremy Lin and D’Angelo Russell are going to have their asses handed to them night after night and now that they’re bragging about how great they are, I will now be rooting against them for all 82 games.
