Tekashi 6ix9ine (real name Daniel Hernandez) is facing a mandatory minimum sentence of 32 years in prison, according to the prosecuting U.S. attorney at the rapper’s arraignment on Monday night. The rapper was arrested on Sunday night and faces federal charges including racketeering allegations stemming from Hernandez’s involvement with the Nine Trey Bloods, as well as a previously unreported armed robbery. Hernandez faces a maximum sentence of life in prison.
“[Hernandez] is a member of a violent sect of the Bloods,” said Assistant US Attorney Michael Longyear at the arraignment. “This defendant participated in multiple acts of violence.”
It would appear as though Tekashi 6ix9ine is actually Boss Tweed running the crime in New York during the 20s. I didn’t even know racketeering was still even a crime. Could’ve sworn he was just a corny rapper pretending to be hard sarcastically to post funny clips online but nope, my man was running a fucking gang out here.
A MINIMUM of 32 years in prison. This stinks considering I was genuinely a fan of his music which I recognize is an unpopular opinion. I stan for pretty much any rapper from New York and I appreciate music like Tekashi’s that gives me the energy I need to lift a car over my head or punch a hole through a tree.
Now that’s over for at least 3 decades but you have to be a real idiot to get caught for gang activities in 2018. If Bobby Shmurda was arrested for rapping out a list of all of his crimes in ‘Hot Nigga’, I guess it makes sense for Tekashi who screams about shooting people, be arrested for shooting people.
Racketeering is a fake crime in movies where the police department sends in an undercover cop to wear a wire and report back and then the undercover cop freaks out halfway like ‘GET ME THE FUCK OUT OF HERE MAN. IM LOSING MY MIND’. And then the head detective is like ‘COOL IT, JOHNSON. WE DON’T HAVE ENOUGH EVIDENCE YET.’
Well, the detectives got enough evidence for Tekashi. I’m imagining the courtroom will be like that scene in New Jack City where Nino Brown gets out of it by pointing the finger at someone else and gives a speech about how he’s the victim.
Thanks for reading. Tweet to @TheLesterLee if you are kinda hyped that Tekashi 6ix9ine is probably going to prison for eternity. Also, go ahead and throw Deadseriousness a Like on Facebook so that I can keep the lights on around here at HQ.
