The controversy with Hardy doesn’t stop with his previous domestic violence issues. With his debut fight now scheduled for UFC’s debut on ESPN+, he’ll be sharing a card with Rachael Ostovich, who is fighting Paige VanZant in a women’s flyweight bout. Ostovich recently had her orbital bone broken in an alleged attack by her husband. The injury sent her to the hospital and put her fight against VanZant in doubt. Ostovich’s husband, Arnold Berdon, has been charged with second degree assault and the case is still under investigation.
In 2014, Carolina Panthers defensive end, Greg Hardy, was arrested for beating the shit out of his ex-girlfriend. Then the Dallas Cowboys signed him because Jerry Jones is a sociopath. And now after signing a UFC contract, Greg Hardy is making his debut in their first fight after striking a deal with ESPN.
Here’s the problem, Rachael Ostovich is a victim of domestic abuse and now one of her coworkers is a domestic abuser who has shown absolutely no remorse for his reactions.
The last big UFC fight turned into a riot after Dana White allowed all of the pre-fight antics to turn racist and Islamophobic. Now Dana White had the wonderful idea of bringing in one of the most garbage people on Earth and spoiling the first ESPN UFC fight and spoiling Rachael Ostovich’s fight because now she has to answer questions about Greg Hardy instead of about Paige Vanzant.
The UFC is the worst.
We should have all of our attention on this matchup. Now I have to think about Greg Hardy. I hate you, Dana White.
Thanks for reading. Tweet to @TheLesterLee if you hope Greg Hardy gets absolutely murdered in the ring. Also, go ahead and throw Deadseriousness a Like on Facebook so that I can keep the lights on around here at HQ.
