Like the clockwork ticking over in some big, shitty clock, another Fox News host has been hit with sexual harassment claims today. Variety reports that Eric Bolling, host of The Specialists on Fox News, has been accused of sending unsolicited sexual pictures to at least three different women he’s worked with over the years.
The Huffington Post first broke the story, citing information from 14 anonymous sources from in and around Fox News and Fox Business, many of who said they’d seen the photos in question. (HuffPo declined to name any of the women directly involved.) When asked about the alleged harassment, a lawyer for Bolling went on the offensive, saying, “Mr. Bolling recalls no such inappropriate communications, does not believe he sent any such communications, and will vigorously pursue his legal remedies for any false and defamatory accusations that are made.”
Not quite sure why this is even news at this point. Everyone knows that you don’t get hired at Fox until you squeeze an intern’s ass or sext the cute blonde anchor at 3AM on a random Tuesday. If you’re not giving a female employee an unwanted shoulder massage by the end of your first week at Fox then perhaps you’ve chosen the wrong career path.
I don’t know which move is weirder, sending a strange dick pic or taking the photo in the first place. I firmly believe that some people just shouldn’t be allowed to have camera phones. It’s a right, not a privilege. There should be written exams at Verizon stores before you make a purchase.
But again, It’s Fox News so he was probably encouraged by his bosses to make every attractive woman he saw feel as uncomfortable as he possibly could.
Congrats to Eric Bolling for fulfilling his Fox contract requirements.
Thanks for reading. Tweet to @TheLesterLee if you think Eric Bolling probably received a raise for this. Also, go ahead and throw Deadseriousness a Like on Facebook so that I can keep the lights on around here at HQ.
