Eli Manning vs. Aaron Rodgers

Sooo this is the biggest game of the New York Giants season. It’s actually the biggest matchup of NFL Wildcard weekend. As much as I loved watching Connor Cook vs. Brock Osweiler in that barn burning shootout, Eli vs. Aaron might just be the most important matchup in the entire postseason.

As much as I want to just spend the rest of this article just bragging about how great Eli is in the playoffs, I have to acknowledge that Aaron Rodgers is the best quarterback in the NFL. When it’s all said and done, he may go down as the greatest of all time.

Rodgers has an absolute cannon attached to his shoulder. That hail mary pass from the 50-yard line directly into the end zone last season was the most ridiculous throw I’ve ever seen. In the pocket, no one has better feet. I might spend the next hour just watching videos of Rodgers shuffling in the backfield and making defensive ends look like fools.

Aaron Rodgers is good.

But here are some #stats.

Eli Manning is 8-3 in the playoffs and he’s 4-0 vs. Super Bowl winning quarterbacks, including Aaron Rodgers. He has 2 Super Bowl MVP trophies and he’s never lost to Green Bay in the postseason. Eli Manning is coming.

At the end of the day, the game will be won or lost on defense and when we’re looking at the two team’s rosters, it’s tough to not pick New York in an absolute rout.
