After an entire season of everyone and their mothers blowing Alabama and declaring them the 2019 National Champions, Clemson quietly went a very casual 15-0 and absolutely MURKED the Crimson Tide in the finals in a game that wasn’t really competitive at any point.
Tua Tagovailoa was the best quarterback in the country this season and Clemson cornerback, AJ Terrell, yanked a pick six on his third pass of the game. It was domination from the opening snap.
The Clemson pass rush made Alabama’s offensive line look like high schoolers who had never
But the really story of this game was true freshman, Trevor Lawrence, planting his flag in the ground as the best passer in college football snatching Tua’s chain right off his neck on live television.
Lawrence completed 63% of his passes for 347 yards, 3 touchdowns, no turnovers
Remember when Dabo Swinney benched Kelly Bryant earlier this year and everyone dumped on that poor kid for wanting to transfer to another school? Oh, he’s so soft and kids today want everything to go perfectly for them and blah blah.
Or maybe he just saw Trevor Lawrence toss perfect passes in practice and knew he’d never back it back on that Clemson field again so he packed his bags immediately. We should’ve known what was coming. It’s like in disaster movies when the wild animals all start losing their minds and howling and running away, a tidal wave is coming.
I don’t want to hear about how much better Alabama is than everyone else. That’s done. They are irrvelevant now. Tell me way less about this monster defense they got zero sacks in the biggest game of the year.
Nope, Alabama’s dynasty is over. Clemson killed them.
