Chance the Rapper has forthcoming projects with Kanye West and Childish Gambino. In a new interview with Peter Rosenberg for Complex, he shared, “I’ve been actively working on the project with Childish. I’m going to do a seven-track with Ye.” He and Kanye are slated to begin working together in July.
Kanye West released 5 albums in 5 weeks and outside of Pusha T’s Daytona, I don’t remember any of the other songs that were released. All I remember is MAGA hats and Wyoming album release parties. I remember Nas and Teyana Taylor’s albums coming out days late and I remember Kanye drowning the artists in loud ass samples.
I can say with complete confidence that Kanye, Kid Cudi and Nas put out their worst records ever during this lame Good Music 5 week album roll out. There is no one I trust less than Kanye right now when it comes to making music. If an album has a June 30th release date then Kanye is 1000% recording a verse on June 29th at 11:59PM.
Chance The Rapper, no, you’re better than this. Didn’t you hear Ye? Kids See Ghosts was the laziest album of the year. Coloring Book feels like it came out 10 years ago and if Chance drops an album with Kanye than it’s safe to say that I will be stuck replaying Coloring Book and pretending like these 7 tracks never happened.
Also real quick, 7 tracks isn’t an album. That’s a Lil Wayne teaser mixtape before he drops the real mixtape a week later. That’s a Drake B-Side. That’s a Youtube Jimi Hendrix/Wu-Tang mashup album.
I already hate this project and they’ve recorded zero songs. Whoopity fucking scoop, Kanye.
