Carlos Gomez is Revolutionizing the Bat Flip Game

Just when you thought bat flips were exclusively reserved for celebratory affairs, Carlos Gomez has turned the bat flip game on it’s head. It’s a brand new world for bat flips. If you thought Jose Bautista had the best bat flip in the playoffs last season, just wait until people striking out start throwing their bats everywhere.

It’s going to be chaos on the infield and I cannot wait. So many fights over ‘unwritten rules’. How many batters are going to get drilled now that bat flips are open to both positive and negative reactions? How soon until players who hit like, bloop singles in the gap start tossing their bats to the moon?

We’re about one month away from players competing to see who can throw their bats the farthest. That may replace the home run derby this season. Get the most emotional baseball players and give them a bat.

This is going to be a great baseball season. So. Many. Bat. Flips.

Thanks for reading. Tweet to @TheLesterLee if you think there should be a bat flip after every single at-bat.
