Shayanna Jenkins-Hernandez, who was engaged to former New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez, has filed a lawsuit against the Patriots and the NFL in the midst of Hernandez’s diagnosis of chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE).
According to the lawsuit—obtained by CNN and provided to Bleacher Report—Hernandez was diagnosed with Stage III CTE, which is typically seen in deceased players with a median age of 67.
Soo here’s just a quick recap of facts and then you can draw your own conclusions:
- CTE is a brain disease caused by a collection of head injuries over the course of a professional football player’s career that causes some player to ger dementia and other players, like former Kansas City Chiefs linebacker, Jovan Belcher, to murder their girlfriends and/or kill themselves.
- Aaron Hernandez was diagnosed with CTE.
- He murdered someone and then killed himself.
- Roger Goodell is the commissioner of the NFL and by all accounts is a power hungry asshole.
Alright, now that you have all of the facts, Goodell should 1000% be in prison forever right? If Deadseriousness had a team of writers that lost their mind because of working conditions and then went on murdering sprees, I feel like I’d at least be called in as a witness.
Goodell is responsible for player safety and he allowed Aaron Hernandez to go out there and melt his brain. Whatever happened after he got CTE is in Goodell’s hands. Hernandez is essentially innocent at this point.
I’m glad I got an opportunity to throw on my Journalism hat and get to the bottom of this. I expect Goodell in handcuffs by dinnertime. Case closed. I’m going on break.
Thanks for reading. Tweet to @TheLesterLee if you think Roger Goodell killed Junior Seau. Also, go ahead and throw Deadseriousness a Like on Facebook so that I can keep the lights on around here at HQ.
