7 Actors Who Should Join The Marvel Cinematic Universe After Endgame

It is being reported that Angelina Jolie is in talks to join the MCU. I won’t pretend to know anything about The Eternals or what her potential role will even be but I do know that she is still one of the most famous actresses on planet Earth so if she’s in, I’m in.

This wouldn’t be the first time a superstar joined the MCU as Angela Bassett, Robert Redford, Michael Douglas and Jeff Bridges have already made their mark in the Marvel franchise. They’ve even put in former action stars like Kurt Russell and Michael Keaton. Can’t help but fantasize about which actors might join Phase 4 of the MCU.

Here are 7 actors that should join the Marvel Cinematic Universe after Endgame:

1. Angelina Jolie

This is sort of cheating to make a list of seven names when one of the names was mentioned in the intoduction but I can’t stress enough how big of a deal it is that Joilie is joining the MCU.

Angelina Jolie’s career pretty much stopped dead in its tracks following her brutal divorce with Brad Pitt. Homegirl has been out of the public eye entirely and her big return to cinema will be a Maleficient sequel that no one asked for.

Last year, it was reported that Angelina Jolie was signed to appear in the new monster movie-verse as Frankenstein’s bride. Then Tom Cruise’s Mummy movie was absolute garbage and Universal scraped that project entirely.

It’s obvious that the only thing that will get Jolie out of her house these days are big fat movie franchise checks and Disney has the biggest wallet. Secure that bag, Angie.

2. Jessica Lange

actors who should join the Marvel cinematic universe

Cate Blanchett is the best actress in the game anddd her character in Thor Ragnorak was goofy as hell. She played a Power Rangers villain from the 90’s. She killed it, as best she could, but it made me think of another actress who would devour that type of cheesy role.

No one is better at over-acting than Jessica Lange. She is the queen of trying too hard in projects that do not require the effort. She is the screaming hot blonde being dragged to the top of the Empire State Building by King Kong every time a director yells ‘Action’. There are so many bad American Horror Story seasons and Lange acts like she’s headlining Broadway every single scene she’s in. She’s the perfect over-acting villain.

3. Oscar Isaac

Disney recently finished their purchase of Fox which means Marvel Studios finally has their hands on Fantastic Four and X-Men. With Hugh Jackman retiring from the role, there are a lot of rumors about who should replace him.

Oscar Isaac has already proven to have the minimum requirements: He’s short, hairy and angry. Done. Hire him yesterday. Have you watched Drive or Ex Machina? Oscar Isaac smiles a lot off set but deep down inside, he’s a bloodthirsty maniac. Give him claws already.

4. Michael Fassbender

michael fassbender

Fassbender killed it as Magento. He was the only watchable parts of those terrible movies. Don’t argue with me, those movies are bad. Stop it. They’re bad.

Anyway, Fassbender deserves to put his fingerprint on a universally beloved movie franchise and no, I am not considering his weird ass role in the new Alien movies as beloved. Again, he is the best parts of crappy movies.

I’m not sure what Marvel characters are left to appear in the MCU assuming there won’t be a full reboot. Fuck it, make a new character for him. I want/need to see him standing next to Black Panther and Captain Marvel.

5. Linda Hamilton

Linda Hamilton was the biggest action star in the world. And then she wasn’t. Hollywood is dumb. It’s 2019 and she’s finally making her return to the big screen in the new Terminator movie and as much shit as I would normally talk about this dead franchise, I’m genuinely rooting for it/her. She deserves this moment.

Time to capitolize on this moment and run up the score. Her biceps in Terminator 2 are my gym goals. Linda Hamilton might already have super strength so you don’t even have to waste time on an origin story.

6. Emily Blunt

Speaking of great action movie actresses, enter Emily Blunt. The entire time I was watching Captain Marvel I kept thinking to myself ‘Brie is cool or whatever but like….this should be Emily Blunt’. Although to be fair, I think that same thing regardless of the movie I’m watching. Robert DeNiro is fantastic in Taxi Driver. Should’ve been Blunt though.

Let’s make her a mutant or The Invisible Woman or something. That’s how you reboot a franchise. No offense to Kate Mara but like, I’m pissed about the way her family is running the Giants and I hope she never works again.

7. Ryan Gosling

actors who should join the Marvel cinematic universe

Did you think I wouldn’t find a way to force my favorite actor into my favorite movie franchise. It took all of my strength and self discipline to not make this list Ryan Gosling 7 times with 7 different reasons.

7 actors who should join the Marvel cinematic universe:

  1. Ryan Gosling
  2. Ryan Gosling
  3. Ryan Gosling
  4. Ryan Golsing
  5. Ryan Gosling
  6. Ryan Golsing
  7. Angelina Jolie

Gosling’s best roles are when he’s quiet and brooding. Find a super hero whose mute and let Gosling scowl for two and a half hours. I’ll preorder right now.

Honorable Mention: Regina King.

Not much to say here. Just put Regina King in every single thing plz.
