NFL teams have begun their first practices to prepare for the 2018 season and with the New York Knicks celebrating getting the 9th pick of the NBA Draft, I guess I have no choice to focus all of my attention on the New York Football Giants.
The New York Giants went 3-13 last season which is less than ideal. You could perhaps say that everyone on this roster has to prove themselves but there are certainly a few players with a larger target on their back.
Here are 5 New York Giants players that have the most to prove in the 2018 season:
1. Saquon Barkley
Saquon Barkley needs to prove why he’s worthy of the No. 2 overall draft pick when the Giants needed literally every position to improve their roster and perhaps running back was last on the list of needs considering it’s tough to run the ball when the offensive line is 5 statues.
He’s also automatically stepping into the NFL as the 4th highest paid running back in the league. Barkley needs like, 2,000 yards from scrimmage to prove to me that he was worthy of that draft pick because I’ve said it before and I’ll say it forever, we drafted a running back that had less rushing yards than quarterback, Lamar Jackson. Probably should’ve just drafted Lamar Jackson
