4 Reasons Why Derrick Rose had the best 2012-2013 NBA Season

4 Reasons Why Derrick Rose had the best 2012-2013 NBA Season

After tearing his ACL, Derrick Rose took all of last season off to recover and managed to have the best season in the NBA.

1. Derrick Rose made million of dollars this season without ever having to break a sweat. If you had the opportunity to get paid millions to sit court-side at every Chicago Bulls game, I’d think you take it, always. Receiving an exorbitant amount of money to be a fan is the best case scenario for anyone. Honestly if I were him, I wouldn’t play another game as long as I still have years on that contract. Derrick Rose is the most expensive practice player, ever.

2. In 2011, Derrick Rose won  the MVP award and was unable to win an NBA Championship. After pretty much being anointed the best player in the game, he couldn’t lead his team to the finals. Sitting out the entire season means there was no way he could lose. Smart. You can’t fail if you don’t try. As the playoffs began, doctors cleared Rose to played and he even participated in practices yet he still chose to sit out. That’s a man who decided he didn’t want to take any responsibility in their inevitable lose to the Miami Heat.

He appears to be fine but you know, don’t force it.

3. The Chicago Bulls almost went to the NBA finals without Derrick Rose playing a single minute. Now that he is returning next season he can look like the hero. If he leads the Bulls to the finals than he solidifies himself as the best player in the NBA. The Bulls had a great season without him so imagine how much better they will be with their star player. They may or may not be 82-0 next season.

4. When the 2013-2014 NBA season starts, Derrick Rose will be the healthiest player on the court. With such a short off-season, Rose will start the season opener fresher than anyone else in the league. I wouldn’t be surprised if he dunks from the 3-point line on the first play of the season. Either that or he snaps his ACL again from not playing on it for so long. I’ll be content regardless.
