Remember when Gordon Hayward signed that max contract hoping to be the star in Boston? Yea, me too. Now he’s just Kyrie Irving’s teammate. This was Hayward’s opportunity to finally make that elusive All-NBA Team but that’s completely out of the window now that he’s going to be standing in the corner waiting for Irving’s heat check to end.
And for those people who think that Hayward joined Boston because his main focus was winning, you’re incorrect. Certainly that’s a factor, but he wanted star recognition. If he wanted to truly just win then he’d still be in Utah with Rudy Gobert and Ricky Rubio and his boy Joe Igles, the Mormon gawd.
