Strained left hamstring for CC Sabathia #yankees
— Meredith Marakovits (@M_Marakovits) June 14, 2017
On Tuesday night, CC Sabathia left the game early after suffering an apparent left hamstring injury. Nooot great. In Sabathia’s last 4 starts he is 4-0 with a 1.48 ERA and 26 strikeouts to only 6 walks. The man was straight up DEALING.
But can the Yankees survive during this CC Sabathia injury?
Absolutely. In fact, this is the best thing that could’ve happened to the Yankees this season. With Masahiro Tanaka being an absolute question mark every single start and Jordan Montgomery playing well but being an unproved commodity, the Yankees need to acquire a starting pitcher if they expect postseason success.
With CC out indefinitely, it’s the perfect catalyst for the Yankees front office to pull the trigger and make a move for Johnny Cueto or Yu Darvish. I’ve discussed which prospects the team should trade but there are plenty of options in the farm system that won’t destroy their future and allow them to win now.
Thank you for hurting yourself, CC.1
Thanks for reading. Tweet to @TheLesterLee if you think the Yankees will overcome this CC Sabathia injury. Also, go ahead and throw Deadseriousness a Like on Facebook so that I can keep the lights on around here at HQ.
